"Hmmm... actually.. I have the perfect place..."
A few minuets later the police rang Mel's mansion's door bell and she answered it. "Hi ma'am we are here for an emergency check. A rash of werewolf sightings have been reported in the area." the officer held out his badge. Mel spread out her wings and the officers jumped. She then stepped a side. "As you can tell, I'm not one too help a wolf. But if it makes you feel better to look. Please do." She said. Vampires were accepted more and were allowed to live in the city. They were more civilized, or at least that is the front they put on. They even had laws on what age before you were allowed to be turned in to a vampire.
The police entered rather cautiously and began searching.

Jill hid in a secret passageway...she couldn't help but wonder why it was there in the first place. Still, it was pretty convenient.
Although it had only been a couple of minutes, Jill became very bored. "How long is this going to take?!"
At that moment she realized something. This was a mansion. It was going to take a while.
----
One of the officers suddenly called to the other one. "Look over here...I found it in a drawer," he said, holding up a gun. He walked over to Mel.
"Ma'am, where did you get this?"

"Hmmm?" Mel looked to the officer acting like she knew nothing. "Oh, i was just about to take that in to the police station but then you guys showed up. I found it this afternoon while I was cutting through an ally. ... it was odd placement.. I figured it would somehow help you I'm sure.." Mel sounded pretty sincere about it. Of course she had years of practice.

The officer was about to say something else but stopped. He didn't exactly have proof of anything. He headed upstairs with his companion.
---
Boredom got the best of her and Jill began to explore. As she was walking through the passage, something sparkling caught her eye.
"Hmm?" She bent down and picked the object up. It was a small golden ring with a red jewel. "I bet this is worth a lot!" she thought, putting it into her pocket.
Eventually she found a door leading to an office of some sort. She could tell it was used regularly because there wasn't much dust and everything was organized neatly.
Jill noticed some documents on a desk and went over to get a closer look. They seemed to be instructions...about "targets"..."Ah, I see. She must be an assassin or something like that," she thought, putting down a piece of paper.
"Off to the next room!" she thought cheerfully.

The officers finally finished their search. "Thank you for your cooperation... I'll be taking this with me..." He said lifting the gun that was found. "Vampires don't leave finger prints.. but you are right it may help us.."
After they were out of the mansion Mel let out a breath of relief, and then headed for the secret passageway. When she opend it however, jill seemed to be missing. "Damn... my office." she said to herself. "Freaking wolves..."

Jill came across another room, this one was small and dusty. She found some jewelry on a table...a silver necklace with diamonds, a gold bracelet, and a couple more rings. "I'm sure she won't mind if I borrow these for a while..." Jill thought, sticking them in her pocket too.
After another minute of browsing around she started to head back, wondering if the search was over yet.
"That was actually pretty fun! It was like an RPG or something!"
Although she seemed happy, it was more of a way to convince herself that everything was alright. In reality, she wanted to tear out onto the street and search for the captured wolves.

Mel apeared in front of Jill. "It would be good if you put what you have taken back where you found it...If there is one thing I can not stand it is theives..." Mel was a bit angry. Some of the jewlery she had went back to her family and were very pressious to her. But one was a pendant she refused to wear. it would stop The pain in transformations, but if she wore it she would have to feed on humans. For some reason she could assasinate them but she couldnt use them for food. It seemed so canabolistice to her. It would also give her more power but she had never really needed more than what she had. And of course there were myths related to the necklace but she did not believe them. After all they were myths.
Mel stood there waiting for the wolf to empty her pockets.

"Oh...um...how did you--uh. Ok," Jill said, running off and putting the things back. "There goes my lunch for the next few weeks..."
She came back, looking slightly embarrassed. She had never been caught before.
"...I take it the search ended?"
Jill wondered how long it would take them to search the whole city...she would have to lay low for a while.
"Tomorrow is a full moon so I should be safe then...no one in their right mind would mess with one of us during one. That's probably why they did the search tonight..."

Mel slightly smirked at the wolf being embarised. "One of the necklaces, I am very connected to....and if you are worried about food I can get you whatever you want... I'm a multi millionair if you hadnt noticed." Mel turned and exited out of the passage way. She turned to Jill and said, "I have to get to work, I trust you wont be taking anything else that does not belong to you? You are welcome to the frindge and TV." Mel then left out the front door.
When Mel got to the office two jobs were waiting for her on the desk. She opened the fist folder. Inside was a picture of a woman, she had red hair blue eyes, she was quite atractive. After reading her profile Mel learned she was a senitor. They wanted her dead because she was an advocate for WRAA (werewolves Rights And Affairs). They were leaders in the werewolf rights movement, the president made the werewolf issue a state decided issue and now california was electing a new govener. The client thought that if this woman is elected that her allowing Wolves in the state would prompt Florida and other states to fallow soon after.
The pay out was quite nice as well 3.4 million.
The second folder had a picture of a man, the reason for his death was oddly the exact opposite from the woman. He was the senitor the woman in the previous file was running against.
Mel, confused went to her bosses office. "What is this a joke?" she asked. "Huh?" He looked up from his desk at Mell holding up the two files. "Oh, no. I just thought it would be easy for you to take them both out, they are going to be making statments tomarrow afternoon." He said. "Afternoon?" Mel said she was getting a bit frusterated. "Yes, I know it will be a bit difficult but, all the others are booked and those are both big clients... we cant just not do them..."

After completely raiding the fridge, Jill fell asleep curled up on the couch contentedly. Suddenly, though, she heard a knock on the door. She crept closer and smelled someone familiar. "Ariconte?"
She opened the door, surprised. She hadn't seen him in years. They began to speak in a different language which could be translated to this:
"Ariconte?! What are you doing here?"
"Chasca...it is you..." he said, smiling. The man appeared to be in his late 20's but had dark grey hair. His eyes were green and he had a rough appearance, like he had been living on the edge for a while. His clothes were torn and he didn't have any shoes on.
"Did you walk here?"
"Yes. I'm sure by now you've heard of the massacre."
"You mean the searches?"
"Call them what you like but it happened nationwide. Hundreds of our people were killed."
"If you knew this then why in the world would you come here?"
"I'm gathering wolves. We're going to break out the ones still being held and--"
"We can't start a war, we don't have enough--"
"Chasca. Please listen. If we don't do anything we'll be totally eliminated. Just come with me, the Alpha is holding a meeting tonight. We plan to strike tomorrow, because of the full moon..."
"I'm not coming, Ariconte. I don't want any part of this. Innocent people will die on both sides. Still, it's good to see you again, even in this circumstance."
"Innocent wolves have already been killed. Nonetheless, I respect your decision. If you change your mind then you know where to find us," he said, turning to leave. "I hope Supai will be ok..."
"Supai?"
"He was captured."
"....Oh. I see."
Ariconte left, leaving Jill standing there, shocked. Were they really going to rebel like this? "We don't have enough forces...but Supai was captured? How did that happen...?" Her mind was spinning as she sat back down on the couch. Supai was a close friend of hers, he was like a brother. But he had been traveling for quite some time...now she knew why. He was probably gathering more wolves for their cause.

Mel stormed out of the office. She was furious. How was she supposed to kill both sides in braud day light!? 'well I could...no.. i cant only in serious circumstances...'
When Mel got home she saw Jill on th couch. "Hey, I'm back early. It seems my boss is an idiot.. I have to work during the day tomorrow... but... I did find something interesting that you may want to be aware of..." Mel said as she sat down next to Jill. "Someone wants senator Mary Morgan dead, you know the one that supports werewolves? She is speaking tomorrow, I guess in the polls she is winning too. If the wolves hold out till after the election with out any uprising... I'm thinking she is going to win. I'm going there to make sure she doesnt get killed."

Jill looked up at Mel, surprised to see her back already. "Oh...I see. There might be one problem, though... A large group of wolves plan to start some sort of riot tomorrow. They're breaking out the imprisoned wolves..." She sighed. "They're planning it for tomorrow because of the full moon..."
"I suppose I'll have to try and talk some sense into them..."

"crap." Mel said. Now what was she going to do? If the werewolves attacked then she will have to kill both of them .. and if she has to kill both of them... Mel glanced at the basement entrance. 'your a fool, your better than them' Jason's words echoed in her mind. He was a very close friend back when she became a vampire. He looked after a lot and taught her about surviving. He along with pretty much every vampire easily left human life and bought the stuff about vampires being better than humans. There view was humans where sheep. Nothing more. And through her experience that is exactly what she has seen. She just hasnt been able to break away from the mind set she had as a human.

"I'll try to talk to them," said Jill, taking off.
She left the mansion and quickly walked down the street, eventually arriving in a forest outside of the city. These were werewolf lands...or rather, what was left of them. Most of the trees were dead and the color green seemed nonexistent.
Jill heard a howl and howled back, letting them know who she was. As she continued, she was met with another wolf.
"Chasca!" he said, running over. The man had short black spiked hair and wore a simple white t-shirt and jeans.
She smiled slightly. "It's nice to see you, Polevik. Your pack has been dragged into this mess too?"
"Yes, unfortunately. Shall we get going?"
She nodded and the two wolves continued through the forest until they reached a small clearing. Hundreds of wolves were there from all different packs. Jill even saw a couple from the North which referred to the Canadian packs...who were usually neutral and hated fighting.
"F*ck. This is going to be difficult."
She ran over to Catequil, Alpha of her pack. Normally she wouldn't directly address him like this, but she figured this was kind of urgent.
"Listen, we can't do this tomorrow!"
Catequil turned around, a little shocked at the young wolf's rudeness. He was a tall, well-built man with dark brown hair and a small beard.
"And why is this, Chasca?"
"Mary Morgan won't have a chance at the elections if we do. She wants to give us equal rights and--"
He interrupted her. "That won't help the other packs."
"Yes, it will! Other states might follow! Please, you have to listen to me! We don't have enough wolves to pull this off yet anyways!" she pleaded.
He growled. "We have the element of surprise and the full moon on our side."
"...I'll warn everyone if I have to."
"You'd betray us like that?!" He roared and began to transform.
Other wolves began to gather around the two, interested.
"Yes, I would," Jill replied, transforming.
Suddenly, though, the Alpha stopped and grinned. "You'd actually challenge me?"
"Yes."
He laughed. "You are so much like your father, Chasca. We'll hold off...I can't guarantee anything...you know how edgy everyone gets during the full moon. But I trust you...you live with humans and understand their habits."
The other wolves were shocked and began to argue.
Catequil howled loudly. "Quiet. We will lay low for now."
No one was about to mess with the Alpha.
"Chasca, why don't you head back? We could use a scout inside the city."
Still shocked over his reaction, she simply nodded and ran off.

Mel figuring Jill would take a while went to the basement and back in to the secret passageway. She walked down the dusty halls to her office and put the folders on the desk. Sighing she then walked to where the jewelry was. She decided she would make sure Jill had actually put everything back. After a few moments of checking everything, it seemed like everything was in its place. she walked back to her office and sat down looking over the files again. 'my boss is going to be so pissed...' she mused. She smirked. She could just tell him he was lucky she even did one. They had an agreement that she didnt do day jobs and he broke it. She could really be a *female dog* if she wanted too. Of course Mary's reward was almost worth killing her over. She looked at her picture again. A thought flashed through Mel's mind. She would actually look even more beautiful dead.
