A Golden Sun RPG. This takes place during the time of the first Golden Sun game. You can be a protagonist, antagonist, whatever. There are four kinds of Adepts you can choose from:
Venus Adept: Earth and Plant powers. Average battle skills.
Mercury Adept: Water and Ice powers. Lots of healing abilities, most attacks revolve around Psyenergy.
Jupiter Adept: Wind and Lightning powers. Mostly use offensive Psyenergy. Can also read minds and emotions.
Mars Adept: Fire and...fire. Mostly use weapons.
Just search Golden Sun on Wikipedia for more info, and make a sign-up like the one below and start role playing.
Name: Ryu Age: 16 Adept: Jupiter Hometown: Vault ================ Ryu glanced up from his book long enough to actually pay attention to what the Vault Inn manager was talking about to him. Not that he had the slightest interest, but hey, if the manager wanted to rant his head off, he didn't care.
"...so, they're not lettin' ol' Ivan leave until they find the thieves..."
Ryu went back to his book, 'A History of Weyard", reading a passage on Alchemy. "Alchemy, huh...? The Golden Sun..." Ryu closed the book. "Talking to you has been enlightening, sir, but I really must be going..."
"...so then, the merchants just left...oh, I'll be seein' you, boy..."
Ryu stood, revealing his whole person. He was a fairly average height, wearing a brown cloak above a black and brown shirt and dark brown pants. The cloak went down to his ankles. His black hair went down over his right silver-grey eye. He walked out the door into the village of Vault.
Walking back toward a house in the northern part of town, he entered, taking a pack of clothes and food. He took a scarf and wrapped it around his neck, over his mouth and nose. The scarf draped down his back to his knees. He also took a short sword in a sheath from his mantle and put it over his back. He walked back out into Vault, went to the store to buy a few medicinal herbs, and walked off into the plains of Weyard.

Name: Fang Age: 16 Adept: Mercury Hometown: Ibil
Fang's head lifted from his cold stare towards the ground. As he let out a breath it became clearly visible in the frigid air. The clouds left him with an overwhelming sense of calm. Fang stood up letting his feet lead him. He saw his reflection in the ice below him. he was about average height with icy blue hair and a somewhat muscular body. A voice came from behind him.
"Hey you! I said to get ou-"
Fang turned around his icy blue eyes nearly piercing the man. A large vortex of ice bubbles surrounded the man. One by one they swiftly turned into ice until the man was completely frozen. With a hard fist Fang smashed the man enclosed into pieces. He knew that he could stay here no longer. He knew Weyard was a long ways off, but he continued walking, not a worry in the world.

Ryu decided the first place he would need to go was Vale, to the north. Vale was the village in front of Sol Sanctum, the home of the Elemental Stars according to his book. Unfortunately, there were numerous monsters on the road to Vale from Vault. Not many posed a real threat to Ryu.
Walking up north, he saw a weird, red, spirit thing. Taking out his book (he brought it with him), he looked for a picture of the creature.
"A djinn..." Ryu muttered. "I thought the were just legends..."
"Nope! We're not legends! We're real as can be!" said a cheery voice from behind him.
"What the hell...?" Ryu said, whirling around. There was a small, silver-blue djinn standing right behind him.
"I'm Breeze, a Jupiter djinn! I can be used in battle by Jupiter adepts the best."
"Well, I'm a Jupiter Adept..."
"Cool! Lemme travel with ya!"
"Er...okay then..." Ryu was quite unsure of this strange creature, but if it could enhance his powers, he may as well let it tag along. "What kind of powers can you give me in battle?"
"I increase Psyenergy resistance!"
"That's...useful...I guess..." Ryu was beginning to regret his choice, seeing as he had never seen another Adept before, let alone fought one. He glanced up, and the red djinn had teamed up with two traveling kids. He continued north, fighting several enemies, and eventually entered the gates of Vale.

Name: Anitra Age: 19 Adept: Mercury Hometown: Imil ---------------------
Anitra woke up early and walked downstairs to the main lobby of the Kalay inn. She was surprised to see so many people already as the sun had barely risen.
"The inn's really busy today..." she mumbled to herself, not fully awake yet.
Apparently the inn keeper had heard her as he replied. "It'll get even busier soon," he said with a smile.
"How come?" asked Anitra.
"Colosso, of course!" answered the man, a little shocked.
"Oh."
"You aren't going? I assumed that's why you were staying here."
"No. I'll be leaving today, actually," she replied. Without another word she paid and left the inn, walking outside into the cool air. Merchants were beginning to set up shop for the day and the city was already bustling with activity. The morning sky cast a blue tint over everything and birds were just starting to sing. It had been raining all night and puddles covered the ground. They wouldn't be there for very long...once the sun rose it would get pretty hot. As she walked over one of the puddles she paused briefly and grimaced at the reflection staring back up at her. "I really need some new clothes."
Anitra was fairly tall and had short, choppy black hair that she had cut herself. Her skin was normally on the pale side but it had darkened in her travels. She had dark blue eyes and wore a simple black cloak and torn black pants. Anitra did have her Mercury clan robes but chose not to wear them so as not to attract a lot of attention.
She took a deep breath and continued her way north, towards Vault.

A drip of sweat slid down Fang's face as he started his decent. In the time lapsed he had already started to climb over the mountain heading towards Vale. Now all he had to do was propel down to get to the town. A harsh gust of wind made him squint, his foot searched for another rock below. The second his foot hit the ice the piece snapped in half.
"Damnit!"
He grunted as a large pile of snow started avalanching down the hill. His momentum ceased as now he was drifting in a pile of snow. As he hit the soft ground he started up at what was the town of Vale. he casually brushed off his clothes and began to move forward.

Ryu headed towards the back of the village, trying to remain as unnoticed as possible. He knew that Sol Sanctum was in the back, near a mountain. That was were the Elemental Stars were, so he could start lighting...lighthouses.
Apparently, some idiot caused an avalanche several minutes ago, and the northern village was in a bit of a confused state. He snuck through the crowd, passing the guard of Sol Sanctum with ease, and went into the sun temple that was Sol Sanctum.

Anitra walked for a few hours without any trouble. The monsters here were weaker than the ones closer to her hometown...she wasn't really worried at all. She couldn't help but wonder why they were weaker, though.
"Does it have anything to do with the elemental stars?"
Lost in her thoughts, she was suddenly brought back to reality with the sound of horse hooves beating on the dirt road. Barely visible behind her was a large caravan. It seemed to be drawing closer and Anitra hoped she had a ride.
Before the caravan noticed her she suddenly threw herself to the ground, closing her eyes.
She could hear the horses closing in on her and couldn't help but grin as she than heard a voice.
"OH! STOP! THERE'S A PERSON ON THE GROUND!" screamed a woman and the driver pulled on the reins, stopping. He hopped off and approached Anitra cautiously.
"Are they dead?!" hollered the woman. "What an annoying voice..." thought Anitra. She lay still as the man checked her pulse.
"Nope, she's alive. Must have collapsed from dehydration or something," replied the man, a bit puzzled.
"What should we do?!" asked the woman, glancing around.
"We can't leave a young girl out here with the monsters. Let's get her some water, first of all," said the man, picking Anitra up and carrying her to the caravan. He shook her a bit and held a canteen out.
"Can you hear me? I have some water."
Anitra opened her eyes slowly and grabbed the canteen, drinking for several minutes as if she hadn't had water in months.
"T-thank you. I was so scared...I-I-I thought I was going to die..." she said weakly, in her best helpless voice.
"Score!" she thought, noticing what the caravan was carrying. Gold.

Ryu proceeded through the blue and gold halls of Sol Sanctum. They were shaped almost like a maze, and Ryu got lost several times. There were numerous smaller (though quite violent) creatures inhabiting the temple of Golden Sun. He head up a staircase, expecting a puzzle; however, it seemed to already have been done.
After finding a room with several statues (one of which was pushed aside to reveal an entrance), Ryu deduced that someone had been here not terribly long ago. After wandering around for a bit, Ryu eventually found a room with a large sun engraved on the ground.
That must be Golden Sun, Ryu thought to himself. When he proceeded into the nest room, he saw that there was a strange portal in the center. Ryu decided it was never good to enter odd portals, and instead peered inside.
It's...the room of the Elemental Stars! He thought to himself. Wait.. they're all gone...dammit!
"Looking for something?" A voice said from behind him. Ryu whirled around, sword drawn, to reveal what looked like a boulder with an eye.
"The Wise One!" Ryu gasped. He had always read and learned about the Wise One...now he was actually meeting him!
"The Elemental Stars were taken from here several hours ago," the Wise One stated. "But why is it that you want them?"
"I'm sure you already know, Wise One..."
"Of course I do.But what you are planning to do must never be done. If Alchemy is unleashed, it will destroy Weyard."
"Exactly." Ryu smirked. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have Elemental Stars to find."
And with that, Ryu left Sol Sanctum, slipped through Vale, and went in the direction of Bilibin...

When Anitra had finally "recovered" and told her sob story to the couple it was decided that they'd take her with them to Vault. Apparently the couple wouldn't be staying there and Anitra didn't bother to ask where they were heading.
They traveled for about a day before arriving. Anitra managed to steal enough gold to last her a while and didn't even have to use it to buy a room at the inn...the couple had agreed to pay. After thanking them and offering to help them out in the future, she was on her way. She began to ask around the town and finally got a reply.
"I'm looking for Ivan...he looks like this...he should be traveling with..." she began.
"Yeah, I've seen 'im. I reckon he's left by now," replied a woman.
"Left? To where?" asked Anitra, praying he hadn't left too long ago.
"I'm not sure but it wasn't very long ago. He left after they captured the bandits."
"Bandits?! What did they steal?!"
"Some sort of staff or something," said the woman, shrugging. She then walked away in a hurry.
"Dammit!" thought Anitra. She decided to leave at once to have a chance of capturing him.

Fang got up to a field of eyes staring him down. He laughed nervously and pushed past the crowd. Fang's eyes fixed their position to Sol Sanctum. The Elemental Stars that he had been searching for were here. As he stepped into that direction a figure collided into him. When the blur of him was over he saw a guy with black hair. He seemed to be in a rush for some reason. He got up, dusting himself off and helped the stranger up as well.
"Hey there, the name is Fang."
Upon further inspection he noticed a sword, but did not shift to the defensive position.

"I'm Ryu. Why were you in my way?" Ryu glared. "I have important things to be doing." Ryu walked off in a huff.

"Like collecting the Elemental Stars correct?" He grinned as he watched the stranger walk away. He knew that was the only reason people like them visited the Sol Temple.
"Because I could help you collect them if you would like."

After finding out which way people had seen Ivan headed, Anitra left and headed towards the Goma mountain range. She was feeling a bit discouraged at having let him get away. "Where is he going, anyways?" Still, Anitra had always finished every job she started. This wouldn't be any different.
As she was walking, a small animal popped up seemingly out of nowhere. It was blue and had an odd look to it. The creature didn't seem aggressive so Anitra just ignored it and kept walking. That is, until it started to talk.
"Hi, I'm Fog!"
"Great, now I'm hearing things..." thought Anitra, walking faster. The creature followed her.
"I'm a Djinn! And you're an Adept so I could help you."
Anitra finally turned to face the Djinn. "How?"
"I can help you in battles by attacking and deluding foes. I'll make you more powerful," said the Djinn cheerfully.
"Whatever," said Anitra, continuing to walk. The Djinn ran after her.
"Fine, you can come with me. Just don't get in my way," she finally said, sighing.

"And what incentive would you have for doing that? How do I know you won't double cross me?"

"Why would I ask another Adept to help me find the stars when I can on my own? Besides, having a Mercury Adept on your team could help you out"
He kept a confident glare at the man, he didn't want the stars for greed, but for another unknown purpose.
