Rings is my premier RPG (though I've had older ones, like one based on Final Fantasy and one original one called the Void).
And now I'll get to all the crap and the like. How fun.
[glow=green,2,300]Plot:[/glow] On January 1 of the year 20XX (holy crap it's Megaman :P), one thousand rings fell to the Earth, each with a distinct power granted to the bearer. You've recently found one of the Rings through circumstance and learn of their tale: They were created by the gods, to choose a worthy human to control time. However, there is a flaw in their plan: if one with a 'corrupted soul' was to gain this power, they could destroy time itself. So you, and a few friends who have also found rings, go on a quest to collect the most rings and save the world from the enigmatic RI-ON (totally not stolen from Dragon Drive xD) and their leader, Yami, who intends to rise to the heavens and become the god of time to gain revenge on all those who wronged him.
To 'win', one must collect all one thousand rings and present them to the Ruins of Time in Brazil. YOUR job is simply to keep the rings away from Yami and RI-ON, or anyone else that tries to use them for evil.
[glow=red,2,300]The Rings:[/glow] There are one thousand rings (in case you didn't read the plot), and each has a power. These can range from Water to Metal to Cosmos. Up to five rings can be equipped at once, and they can grant anything from new abilities for battle to stat boosts. Each ring can also be classified into five 'elements': Air, Fire, Earth, Water, and Aether. These go in a rock-paper-scissors fashion: Water beats Fire, Fire beats Air, Air beats Earth, and Earth beats Water. Aether beats all. Here's a typical ring:
Name: Ring of Water
Element: Water
Boosts: +1 Luck
Ability Gains: Flood, Water Whip, Water Shield
If your ring matches with your element, you get a bonus.

Staticstics:
Attack - You're basic attack. Determines how much damage a standard attack does.
Defense - Your defensive capabilities.
Speed - How fast you attack. It chooses who can attack first.
Evasion - How well you can evade.
Magic Attack - How effective your magic is.
Magic Resistance - How well you resist magic.
Reload - How many posts you need to wait until you can attack again. i.e. You use Fire, with a reload of 2. You must wait for two posts to pass that aren't your own. This is the main difference of this RPG.
Battles:
When a battle begins, I will list the characters in order from fastest to slowest. The person who is fastest attacks first, and so on. Depending on what attack they use, everyone waits their reload time until they can attack again, regardless of speed. YOUR POSTS DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOUR RELOAD.
Status Effects:
Paralysis: You can't move for a given amount of posts.
Stone: you can't move or use items until healed or dealed 100 damage.
Sleep: You can't move, evade, reload, or use items for 6 posts.
Poison: You take a set amount of damage after every attack.
Rules:
1. No double posting.
2. No spam, flaming, etc.
3. You do not use scripts for this RPG.
4. DO NOT BEGIN AN ARGUMENT WITH ME. I AM SERIOUS.
Breaking of any of these rules results in a 24-hour ban. From the game.
