Ok. Why do you spell it odd? It went from magic to magick. Supposedly it's to differentiate between "fake" magic and "real" magic. But there are probably some people who, like how they use daemon rather than demon and faerie rather than fairy, just say it to try and be nonconformist or some crap. But the actual reason is because they don't want to be grouped with parlor trick magic.

(Fluffy Bunny is a Pagan/Wiccan fundie) We do dislike those kids, and tend to laugh at the ones who from 'cults' and cut themselves to perform 'spells' to harm people. YES, before you ask, we CAN curse people, but it's more of wishing ill will towards them, and NO we don't do it often. (As we see the first bad thing to happen to said person as our fault... eve if it isn't)

First of all, all i can say to this is this- ŒûƒpƒN‚É‚ ‚킹‚Ä‚¢‚銂ª‚·‚²‚¢ .
Also, wishing people harm.
Even with out wishing it, they still hurt themselfs.
Wishing it on others will only get yorself hurt.
I'm a Karma fan.

I sometimes find it funny how we humans know relatively little about everything in the universe.
If you think hard, you'll realize why this post is relevant.

Then again, religion in all forms has always been about forcing their morals onto its followers, with the claim that they will suffer consequences for deviating from them. The Christians have Hell, Buddhist have continuous reincarnation without the redemption of Nirvana, far Eastern religions like Taoism have the consequence of never becoming an exalted one, it's ridiculous and just a means to control your actions and thoughts.

In wicca its not a punishment though. Its more of "if you do this, this will happen" type deal.. and the number varies. But its just to say "look your actions have consequences. In actuality in the religion you can be any type of person, you will just have to be willing to accept the conciquence of the given action.. which is common sense really..

I'm not one for karma.
I never saw it returned properly on those who desrve it.
Which I dislike.
And, it was too slow to work, which annoyed me.
I just take matters into my own hands.

i have to agree with ninja on this one.
none of us really know what is going on outside of what our body and mind tell us. The only way to know is to die. then when we die we cant tell anyone else about it.
Science tells us evolution, religion tells us it was all god. but honestly cant it be both. when you really sit down and think about it almost all religions have a similar get up.
If you pray to god, to the trees, to the spirits, heck even to Muhammad, its all the same thing.

The sad part is that you just insulted and did a disservice to my religion.
We follow science, we KNOW evolution stems from natural selection, and, we believe there's some power somewhere that's greater than we are, so we ask it to help us get into a mindset to overcome any issue we have, not to create miracles.
So, our religion is actually 100% possible. We don't get "miracles" and we've never seen large levels of divine intervention.
We may know little about the universe, but, people who state that usually feel like they know less, in my experience.

If you pray to god, to the trees, to the spirits, heck even to Muhammad, its all the same thing. That's all well and good, but then why have religion in the first place? Popular religion has notoriously been the main culprit in knowledge being suppressed, if not even outright denied. And with how far I'd like to think we've progressed, do we really even need religion anymore? For most religions, they exist as the lazy way to explain a situation that you have no idea how it happened, and current technology doesn't know either. It's only other use is to give people some affirmation that there is something more to our existence, that we are being looked after by something greater than us. Personally to me it seems more like a game of chess where we are the pawns, but that's just my opinion. The main point is, why do people go so far for that comfort that they ignore simple logic and common sense? We don't need a God nearly as much as God needs us to propagate its very existence. But I can't really be bitter at some religions like Buddhism and Paganism. You guys pretty much keep to yourselves. Despite the fact that I still find casting spells and crap a little weird, it's harmless and doesn't curb the attainment of knowledge of others, so I really can't *female dog* about that too much.

Lets talk about the Greek Gods and Goddess for a second.

B/c their religion focused on temple worship that is pretty much impossible for us to perform now.
Which means their religion is dead.
So, really, people who try that religion can't even perform the rudimentary religious functions of it.
