well i bough a 360 a couple days ago. and i can't afford the extended 2 year warranty because i don't get paid soon enough and my mom won't let me borrow the whole 60 dollars. so i just have to hope for the best that i don't get the red ring of death.if i do ill just female dog her about that if she gave me the 60 i wouldn't have to pay 130 to fix it. lol, oh and im getting gutair hero 3 as soon as i get paid woot!! and the fan upgrade to keep it nice and cooled down.
but yeah the 360 rocks!!! best console, and not just my opinion to those who think ps3 has better graphics research it, the xbox is far superior, but not in speed.
anyone else here have one? and have you gotten the red ring of death?

Lol, on my fifth 360 in a two year period. It's the cheapest built console I've ever had, and I had one of the first batches of PS2 that would like screwing explode if you turned it on, all the while raping your mother, that at least lasted six months before crapping out on me.
So yeah, get the new fan since theirs is absolutely useless. Some people have had their original 360 fine since it came out, so I guess with Microsoft you just have to pick one and pray it isn't one of their bad ones. Only good thing that came out of it is that I always keep the Hard Drives when I return it and sell those back, at this rate I'm going to see profit.
But as for the PS3 thing, I like to stay totally neutral since I was seriously underwhelmed with the crappiness of this generation of video game consoles, but the PS3 is by far the most superior in terms of processing power. It's just that to fully exploit its potential, you have to put more effort into it than the other two systems, which developers apparently are far too lazy to do. I can't blame them too much though, the 360 is basically the exact same to the original X-Box, and with the Wii you can just slap on some retarded game(Uh...Mario...Sweeping...Adventure), and as long as it uses the motion sensor a lot, fanboys eat it up.

lol, true, rite now i have a huge house fan blowing air into the air intake on the side of it when i play it. saw it on youtube, it is suppose to help alot. but in one review they said that the processor that the 360 has is supposed to be better. or something like that. can't quite remember. but like the brand is alot more powerful or something

sorry to double post but wouldn't they know that you got a pro that came with a hard drive so wouldn't they figure out that your keeping them, and not send you a new one with it?

I got the extended warranty on it, and Costco doesn't even check the things. At least they haven't yet, going to piss me off if they tell me to pay them back four hardrives if they ever do. XD
Oh, and what you heard was probably that the processor the 360 uses it easier for developers to format games on, PS3's Cell processor is pretty much unparalleled, it's just that it's such new technology that they aren't bothering using it all since people are fine with the power the 360 has. I suppose their line of thought is, why spend extra time on it?

oh one more thing which way do you put it?, standing up or laying down, i have heard rumors that standing up gives better ventilation, but other says that it doesn't cause your blocking the huge fan on the bottom that sucks in air. i have mine currently laying down to prevent tipping and game scratching, and i have a huge house fan blowing air into the bottom of it where it sucks in air, and i find it keeps it cool

xbox 360 rocks mines one step down from the elite i think the 360s good the main cause of the red ring of death is moving the 360 to a new outlet once its plugged in its a main cause mine works just fine no problems no upgrades so people who worry to much just don't over use it (like leave it on for 4 days XD) and you'll be fine

i currently only have the 2 games that came with it , but plan on getting another controller soon plus the recharging station, and ethier halo 3 because me and my friend always beat each one together before ethier one plays it, kinda became a tradition with us, same with resident evil games . or gears of war.(drools over that game)

ohh and about halo 3 my first one was fine until i was trying to beat legendary i got to the second to last mission and it froze so i turned it off and turned it back on and then it wouldnt load... then after that 2 more levels wouldnt load but i got another one and it works fine. i think it was because when i first got my 360 i had it laying down and in the middle of playing halo i turned to standing up

I still say the Wii takes both of them on, and kicks them down a peg or 2. Or 20. ;D Also, this tells a little about why i like the Wii more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9BoxQ9D7Nc
